Grubb-Zink Family Barn

After Jacob Grubb established this farm in the 1830s, the first barn became the centerpiece of daily operations. Eighty years later, Grubb's original barn was destroyed by fire, and in 1910, the current barn was built. Generations of the Grubb family used and cared for the barn and farm, and current Grubb ancestors, the Zink family, are doing the same.

The Zink family now maintains the farm and this barn. They are committed and honored to continue the family legacy.

The best light for painting this barn was early morning. I did this painting in May 2015. I always try to be ready to paint when the sun comes up. It is those first rays that stir my artist within. The shadow shapes and colors presented are exciting and interesting. I chose a 12 x 24 inch canvas for this oil painting.

All the barn paintings are for sale.  Please contact Gwen to find out if the painting(s) you are interested in are sold or available.
