Hinkle-Garton Farn Barn

This barn and farm are on the National Register of Historic Places and are located near Bloomington, Indiana. The barn was built in 1928 and is a large three-bay barn with a gambrel roof of tin.

The barn was originally used for dairy cattle and later for other livestock, including horses. The barn has not been significantly altered over the years.

This painting was completed in June 2005 on a brilliant sunny morning. The bright green spring grasses surrounding the barn are reflecting a bright green onto the white siding. Morning light streamed across the gable end, it was a scene designed for plein air painting. I completed an 8 x 16 inch oil painting on a canvas.

All the barn paintings are for sale.  Please contact Gwen to find out if the painting(s) you are interested in are sold or available.
