Wessler Family Barn

Carefully placed to overlook a vast and fertile flood plain near Big Blue River, this spectacular barn is as beautiful as its view. All the older buildings, including this barn, were carefully built for function, durability and aesthetics in their design. While the interior has been altered, the original craftsmanship shines in the stout pegged timbers.

Although not currently used for animals, it is a treasure to the family and is well maintained.

Late afternoon light was going to compliment this barn the most so l set up my oil painting easel on the hillside south west of the barn; it was September 2011. The subtle range of hues and values on the barn were only obvious after time spent studying the barn. The scene picked the canvas size; 16 x 20 inches was requested.

All the barn paintings are for sale.  Please contact Gwen to find out if the painting(s) you are interested in are sold or available.
