William F. James Barn

This gothic arch-roofed milk barn was built in 1947 within the flat and fertile farmland of Clark County. It's a huge dairy barn at over 100 x 40 feet.

The design and construction of the roof provided an extremely spacious hayloft. The milk house remains as part of the bam. The barn is no longer in use as a dairy barn. However, it is very well used and maintained for other endeavors.

It was a hot day; plein air painting required a hat and plenty of water, It was June, 2009 and I chose an 18 x 24 inch canvas for this oil painting.

All the barn paintings are for sale.  Please contact Gwen to find out if the painting(s) you are interested in are sold or available.
