Heaton Family Barn

The lower reaches of Ripley County drift into expansive and gently rolling hills, divided by large areas of flat farmland. The panoramic view from this barn is a lovely sight.

The main level of the barn is constructed of glazed tiles for ease in cleaning. It was designed to be a very efficient dairy milking parlor.

A silo is connected for feeding efficiency. The milk house is detached but nearby. Although small, this early dairy barn is very well-maintained and used now for raising calves.

After several visits to this barn, I completed a studio oil painting using my reference materials. I painted it in September 2015, using a 12 x 15 inch canvas.

All the barn paintings are for sale.  Please contact Gwen to find out if the painting(s) you are interested in are sold or available.
