Rosenkrans Family Barn

In terms of beautiful rural scenes, it would be difficult to surpass this bucolic of setting of farm and barn in the southeastern corner of Madison County. Adding to the natural countryside beauty, Lick Creek meanders through the farm and skirts the historic home and treasured barn.

The gable roof of the barn is topped with five lightning rods accented with glass globes.

Numerous wooden vents provide circulation throughout. The vents have color-accented trim with added details in the molding and show an attention to form as well as function.

The current owners acquired this lovely farmstead in 2013 and plan to restore the historic home and barn to their original stunning beginnings.

An 18 x 30 inch canvas was needed to capture this impressive farm and barn. I completed the oil painting in April 2014 from sketches made on location.

All the barn paintings are for sale.  Please contact Gwen to find out if the painting(s) you are interested in are sold or available.
